On Saturday, June 28th, the Lew Tabackin Trio will perform on the Gazebo stage.
On Sunday, June 29th, the festival will host “Newport Jazz Festival: Now 60” an all-star band celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Newport Jazz Festival. The band is Karrin Allyson, Anat Cohen, Randy Brecker, Mark Whitfield, Peter Martin, Larry Grenadier, and Clarence Penn. They will also play throughout the US in March and April; see http://www.absolutelylive.net/upcoming-events for tour dates.

Our friends at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark New Jersey, have put together a lovely festival which will take place in early November. Details are available at http://www.njpac.org/moody.
The TD James Moody Democracy of Jazz Festival kicks off on November 4 with a concert by tenor saxophonist Jimmy Heath at Bethany Baptist Church. Now in its second year, the festival offers seven days of concerts, panel discussions and workshops around Newark, in honor of saxophonist and bebop pioneer James Moody.

We proudly announce the return of multi-Grammy and Latin Grammy award-winning artist, Arturo Sandoval, to the festival. He will close the main stage on Saturday. We had to wait until tonight as he performed at Proctor’s in Albany and we agreed to hold off until his performance.
